Arsenic Bathroom

The inspiration for the 'arsenic series' of paintings

The moment I first entered this room (once a small bedroom in the School Mistress’s apartment) and saw the green wall colour revealed behind a flap of wallpaper, it was love at first sight. One of the very first things I did upon moving in was to gently remove the layers of paper covering it and began using it as a backdrop for models.

Too small to use as my actual studio, this room was turned into an en-suite bathroom and is still occasionally used for posing models in.
